It gives me immense pleasure to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported us in making the sacred pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar a remarkable success.
As we step into our 34th year of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra operations in 2026, this journey stands as a testament to unwavering faith, dedication, and the divine blessings of Lord Shiva.
My personal association with this sacred land began in 1992, when I had the privilege of leading one of the earliest organized Indian pilgrim groups to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar through Nepal. What started as a humble spiritual journey with a small group of devotees has, by divine grace, grown into a pilgrimage movement that has served more than 18,500 yatris over the past three decades.
I have personally been blessed to visit the holy land of Tibet over 104 times, gaining invaluable experience in organizing this challenging high-altitude pilgrimage safely and successfully.
Despite the harsh terrain and extreme conditions of the Tibetan plateau, with the continued blessings of Lord Shiva we stand today among the pioneers of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Nepal.
I sincerely thank every pilgrim who has placed their faith and trust in us. Your devotion inspires our team to continue serving this sacred journey with dedication, responsibility, and spiritual commitment for many years to come.

Indo Nepal Holidays Pvt. Ltd. was established in 1986 as a Destination Management Company specializing in travel services across Nepal and Tibet. Starting with a small but dedicated team, the company initially focused on trekking, expeditions, adventure tourism, and cultural tours.
Over the years, the company steadily developed expertise in operating travel programs in some of the most remote and challenging regions of the Himalayas.
A historic turning point came in 1992, which is widely regarded as a revolutionary year in the history of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
At that time, due to geographical challenges and political conditions, access to Tibet for Indian pilgrims was extremely limited. Through persistent efforts and strong coordination with authorities, Mr. Jaysinh Thakker, Managing Director of Indo Nepal Holidays, successfully obtained permission from Chinese authorities to operate one of the first organized Indian pilgrim groups to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar via the Nepal–China border at Zangmu.
This milestone established Indo Nepal Holidays as one of the earliest Indian operators facilitating the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through Nepal. The 1992 expedition through the Nepal–Tibet border marked a significant development in improving accessibility for Indian pilgrims traveling to the sacred region of Mount Kailash.
During the early years of operations, the motorable route via Zangmu made access to Kailash possible compared to traditional trekking routes. However, the long and demanding road journeys were physically exhausting for many pilgrims.
Recognizing the need to make the pilgrimage more comfortable and accessible, Mr. Jaysinh Thakker later pioneered the Helicopter Yatra route via the Hilsa border.
With this route, pilgrims could fly by helicopter to Hilsa and then reach Lake Mansarovar within approximately two hours by road, significantly reducing travel fatigue and making the Yatra feasible even for elderly devotees and those with limited time.
This operational innovation transformed the accessibility of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and contributed significantly to its growing popularity among Indian pilgrims.
Importantly, Mr. Jaysinh Thakker did not limit his diplomatic access and operational experience for exclusive benefit.
Instead, he actively encouraged Chinese authorities to extend pilgrimage permissions to other Nepal-based operators, believing that wider participation would:
• Allow more pilgrims to fulfill their spiritual aspirations
• Improve safety standards through organized travel
• Encourage infrastructure development in remote Tibetan regions
As a result of these efforts, by 1995 Chinese authorities expanded Indian pilgrim permits to additional Nepal-based operators, which significantly improved the accessibility and safety of the pilgrimage.
Over the decades, these pioneering efforts contributed to the safe and successful movement of more than 17,000 pilgrims by 2019, establishing the Nepal route as one of the most reliable pathways for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
